Muse-d Inside Out
From the moment Muse came onto the stage with Matt looking rad in his red jumper, the crowd went absolutely wild! The anticipation before that moment was already boiling way past breaking point with the massive crowd already restless, ready to raise the roof.
For many, this would be their first time watching Muse live in action. Months before the concert, rumors of them performing in Malaysia were circulating on the Internet, already cooking up a storm. So, it was no surprise that with all the anticipation and excitement built up over the months, the concert literally exploded from the get go.
That night, the Muse trio comprising of Matt Bellamy (lead singer/guitarist) , Dominic Howard (drums) and Christopher Wolstenholme (bass) were in their element! They were on fire! Everything they did seem to belie their mortality raising themselves to godlike status, worthy of worship from their fans.
From the Pitt, I could see them so clearly as they were only about 30 m away from me. But of course, I wasn't the only one as I was crushed by waves of sweaty bodies that I thought I wouldn't survive the night and drown under their feet. There wasn't any space to move let alone breath.
This lasted for 3 songs before I decided to back up somewhere safer where I can enjoy the concert with a good view instead of being knocked around to and fro where most of the time I'm concentrating more on staying alive. (edit: "All the souls that would die just to feel alive") From then on, it was moshing and singing to the beautiful music all the way.
Nevertheless, the crowd was amazing. The electrifying, infectious energy bounded back and forth, from band to fans vice- versa. Matt probably didn't have to sing much that night as the whole stadium sang along with him, word for word, pitch for pitch (we tried anyway). It was just beautiful. It was like a gathering of people Muse land singing to our national anthems.
Songs we sang our hearts out to:
1. Knights Of Cydonia
2. Hysteria
3. Supermassive Black Hole
4. Butterflies & Hurricanes
5. Assassin (Grand Omega Bosses Edit)
6. Citizen Erased
7. Hoodoo
8. Apocalypse Please
9. Feeling Good
-piano ditty-
10. Sunburn
11. Starlight
12. Plug In Baby
13. Map Of The Problematique
14. Time Is Running Out
15. New Born
16. Soldier's Poem
17. Invincible
18. Stockholm Syndrome
-mishmash of riffs-
19. Take A Bow
With the concert over, I emerged from the stadium drenched in sweat that would've filled a gallon tank easily. Moshing at a rock concert is as good as any other exercise. Trains your legs, arms, vocal chords, lungs... See? It's a healthy activity I should make a habit from.
For those who love Muse but didn't attend this concert, I'm honestly telling you, you'll live to regret to the very core of your inner being. If possible in your uncertain lifetime, please, please do your soul a favor and go to a Muse concert. Their Best Live Act award seems too modest an accolade. It's justified a thousand times over. Must see to believe!
It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life... and I'm feeling good~
Cheers!

No worry, I won't sue you. If you take pictures from others next time, I'd suggest you let them know before posting. Anyway, good show.
dude, Feelin' Good is not a mere 'piano ditty', it's a cover version of a Billie Holiday song! we nearly fell off the stands with the moshing :D
no wonder the pictures look a tad familiar...
